Dr. Bruce H. Porter
Bruce H. Porter has undertaken extensive research on behalf of the Religious Studies Center at BYU, with a specific emphasis on the Pearl of Great Price and the Book of Abraham. He played a pivotal role in the discovery of the Antonio Lebolo Will. Porter’s scholarly endeavors have taken him to renowned museums and libraries throughout Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. His research contributions include presentations for the “Society for Early Historic Archaeology” and the “Journal of Egyptian Archaeology.” Additionally, he has made significant contributions to the Encyclopedia of Mormonism and co-authored a paper in the two-volume work “By Study and Also by Faith,” dedicated to Hugh Nibley. During his graduate studies, he contributed to the creation of a documentary on Egyptian archaeology for the BBC.
