Todd Noall

Writer, Mormonism Explained

Todd Noall is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Mormonism Explained, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in June 2023 to provide a factual and objective look at the issues and criticisms surrounding Mormonism. Operating under an Intellectual Reserve trademark license, Mormonism Explained produces research-grounded resources that engage common criticisms of the Latter-day Saint faith.

Todd brings to that work the operational discipline of a serial entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of successful tech ventures that have shaped his approach to building organizations that scale with integrity. His commitment to community service is equally durable: he has been a long-time wish-granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an experience that informs the care and seriousness he brings to every project he leads.

A graduate of the University of Utah, Todd writes and speaks regularly on the most common criticisms of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — including those targeting Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon, the Restoration, early church history, and criticisms in the press and pop culture — drawing on official Church publications, primary sources, and the work of leading Latter-day Saint scholars. His goal is not apologetics in the dismissive sense of that word but substantive engagement: meeting serious questions with serious answers.

Todd is married to the love of his life, Angela. They live in Draper, Utah, with their four children.
